Moykkylanpera – Hankasalmi

Big stage of tracks and Finnish evening at the edge of a lake.

Departure quite early to the tracks of the mythical rally of the 1000 lakes. Serene atmosphere in the nature, where tall pines and large birches rise… And where all the noises are dampened by thick moss carpets. The shades of green are dominant, sprinkled with white and gray on the trunks of birches, rocks and moss, with a touch of pink on the flowers that line the road.
The weather is very variable: torrents of water, a drizzle and a big sun follow one another.
The participants arrives at the Timo campsite. Some arrived quite early because they had to finish their report for tonight. The schedules were flexible, which allowed latecomers to finish the last details.
Once the checkpoint is done, the traditional fish soup is shared, well appreciated for its flavor. Served hot, it also warms the body.
No bathing this year, the heat is missing at the rendezvous, but this did not stop the children from enjoying the playground of the campsite.
