This step is really special because it is the only day during which participants are divided into two groups:
Hikers and fjord hunters. they have traveled the legendary Troll Road and explored the gigantic Geiranger Fjord. « It was amazing » according to our them. The second group consisted of 21 hikers, they climbed the 2nd (3 meters of difference to the first) highest peak of Norway and all the Nordic countries: the Glittertind. This hike is difficult, 1,200 vertical meters that finish on a glacier then a ridge reminiscent of Mont Blanc. The climb is tough, but we quickly forget it because the progression is punctuated by gifts offered of Mother Nature: a herd of reindeer who were looking for freshness, motionless on a large plate of snow. Three seagulls whose presence at this altitude amazed us all. Summits around with shapes that allow us to understand how the legend of the Trolls was born. An arrival at the summit worthy of an expedition on the Everest because in full wind and fog. And a delightful surprise when a strong breath cleared the crown of clouds that imprisoned the summit and allowed us to discover one of the largest panoramas of Norway. All the candidates for this ascent arrived at the top, camera slung over the shoulder and smiling to the ears. The descent is almost more difficult than the climb, but the photographic poses are once again chewing up this long progression…
